[IT Daily] Clunix (Co-CEOs: Jinwoo Seo, Donggeun Shin) announced on the 11th that it hosted the "HPC Vision 2024 (High Performance Computing Vision 2024)" event.
HPC Vision 2024 was organized to present specific strategies for operating and managing HPC and GPU resources, addressing key issues in the high-performance computing industry and adapting to the AI era.
Through this event, Clunix shared insights into several essential areas of HPC operations, including:
- HPC Operation Strategies
- HPC and GPU Market Trends
- Innovative HPC Solution Case Studies
Additionally, the event featured keynote speakers such as Sik Lee, Director of the National Supercomputing Center at KISTI (Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information), and Myungjoo Kim, Professor at the Department of Information Security at Seoul Women’s University, who provided valuable insights into HPC and AI.
Director Sik Lee delivered a speech titled "The Greatest Benefit of High-Performance Computing: The Freedom to Fail at Will," sharing knowledge and experience gained from managing the National Supercomputing Center. Professor Myungjoo Kim also took the stage to discuss "2024: The First Year of AI Normalization – How to Coexist and Prepare?"
Customer Case Studies
The event also featured customer presentations. Dr. Daeyong Jung from KISTI's Intelligent Simulation Center introduced Hemos Cloud, a high-performance computing cloud service operated by KISTI. Aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Hemos Cloud provides simulation computing environments. Clunix’s Arrentier is integrated into this platform, allowing users to access an intuitive and user-friendly simulation environment.
Another notable case study was HD Hyundai Heavy Industries’ R&D Workspace. Facing a need for digital transformation in R&D, HD Hyundai built an R&D workspace system based on Clunix's Arrentier, creating an optimized research environment through a dedicated R&D portal.
Clunix’s HPC Expertise
Clunix has supported the HPC operation environments of over 400 clients in South Korea, including HD Hyundai, Samsung Electronics, LG Display, POSCO, the Agency for Defense Development (ADD), KAIST, and Seoul National University.
